Une Catastrophe à Paris

Prologue
In a dark laboratory in Paris, France, a red light on a computer control panel blinked. It's glow cast a red beam on the smooth pale face of a 20 year old male. He tapped his long fingers on the desk impatiently as he waited for his contact to answer the phone. "Hello?" Whispered a female, american voice. "Bonjour" The man replied. "Quelle est votre réponse? What is your answer?" There was a pause. "Oui or No?" The french man asked. Another pause. "Oui"

Chapter 1 - The End of the BABV SS
Jessie was sat in her office carefully cleaning her hat, when she heard quiet sobbing outside. "Hello?" She asked curiously "Who is it?" Jessie got up from her desk and looked out the door. Cade the head scientist has her head in her hands and tears ran down her pale cheeks. "Oh Cade! What's wrong?" Jessie said hugging her friend. "The... Chief wants... to speak to... you!" Cade said between sobs. Jessie handed Cade a tissue from her desk and then grabbed her hat and walked down the corridor to the Chief's office. "Yes?" Jessie said as she entered. The chief sat in his chair, his hands clasped on his desk, his tie was undone, his face was pale and his eyes had lost their sparkle. He stared ahead for a few moments then he spoke. "Jessie..." He hesitated. "I'm afraid I'm leaving he BABV SS" Jessie stared at him, her mouth hung open. "I'm closing down the agency" Jessie stammered "WHAT?!? Why?" The Chief removed his hat and placed it on his desk, he pulled his tie from his neck and rolled it up. "I feel old, like the missions aren't exciting for me" Jessie stared at him "Old??? Are you going through a mid-life crisis at the age of 16??" Jessie began to rush around grabbing a thermomiter and sticking it into Chiefy's mouth then feeling his foreheard for a fever. "No Jessie, I'm retiring!" Sid said, but with a thermomiter in his mouth so it sounded like this: "No Jethie, I retieing" He pulled the thermomiter out and pushed her hand away. "You can't retire! You're too young!" Jessie said almost crying. "You're 16!" Chief stood up and walked over to her. He pulled her close and hugged her, saying "I've lost my excitement of being an agent, I'm retiring from being an agent" Jessie pushed him away, tears streaking her face. "And what, may i ask are the rest of us supposed to do?!" Sid looked down, "I don't know" he murmered. "But this is it Jessie, Its over, The BABV SS is no more!"

Chapter 2 - Jessie's new job
*2 months later*
Jessie was stood bored in the BNN news room, as her new partners, Chloe and Miguel, discussed travel plans and scripts. Since she has lost her old job as a secret agent 2 months ago, she had been working on her latest adventure, a documentary on Paris, France. Now that may seem awesome to some people, VIB access to some of Paris's most famous landmarks, months spent in a foreign country, hanging out with other TV stars, but to Jessie, it was quite a boring experience. In her old job, she spent her time foiling evil plans, travelling around the globe with her friend Indiana Buddy, and hanging out in the HQ with the Chief, Cade and the other scientists. Jessie sighed loudly, Miguel and Chloe turned and looked at her. "What's wrong, Jess?" Chloe asked. Jessie didn't reply. "JESS!" Miguel and Chloe said together. "What?!" Jessie said falling over. "Are you ok?" Miguel asked. "Yeah yeah! Im fine, just thinking about... stuff". Chloe and Miguel looked at each other and at Jessie. "Do you want to go home?" Chloe said. "Yes, Sorry, my mind isn't with it today. I'll see you tomorrow" Jessie picked up her coat and went home. Her mind was still torn, she loved her old job. But she was trying to look forward to the documentary filming.

Chapter 3 - The Eiffel Tower
"The building of the Eiffel Tower began on the 26th January in 1887 and was completed 2 years, 2 months and 5 days later on March 31st 1889. It stands 324 meters tall and, here's a fact for all you DIY fans out there the Eiffel Tower is painted every 7 years in 3 shades of brown with the darkest shade at the bottom. This is so that the colour looks even all the way up. Did you know it is still painted with hand brushes even today! Now that's a big job!" Jessie spilled out facts about the famous landmark like a computer. When the camera stopped rolling, she handed the microphone to the director and took a sip of water from her bottle, as she leaned on the base of the tower. "OK Jess, you can go look around town!" The director said as he checked the film. Jessie grabbed her bag and went to look around. She ended up at a cafe by the Seine. As she ate her cookie and sipped her tea, she remembered a time when she used to enjoy work. Paris was great, but it wasn't like home. She took another look around her and then glanced over at a young gentle-man who was heading for her table. As he sat down, Jessie got a glimpse of his face, and felt a pang of homesickness. He looked like the Chief, not identical, but enough to remind her of home. He was slightly older, about 20 and he had blonde hair, and blue eyes, without the sparkle the Chief's had, back when the agency was around, but they were almost the exact shade. She found herself gazing at them, her mouth hung open. "Hello!" the man said, in a French accent. "Is it Jessie Loveable?" Jessie gasped and nodded "How do you know my name" The man smiled, revealing a row of pearly white teeth, just like Chief did, when he smiled. He pointed at Jessie's badge. "I can read, you know" He laughed. Jessie laughed too and removed her badge. "Well you know my name, what is yours." He smiled again "Leon. Leon Space-Rocks" Jessie smiled and chatted to Leon for a while. He was a very nice guy, almost too nice. After about an hour, Jessie gasped and looked at her watch, she had another shoot in 10 minutes. She said goodbye to Leon and ran over to the base of the tower.

Chapter 4 - Kid-napped
Jessie turned to the camera, a few meters away from the very top of the Eiffel Tower. "Apparently in clear weather, you can see up to 42 miles from the top of the Eiffel Tower. Now, the air seems clear, so lets have a look." She climbed to the top. The camera followed her up. When they got there, Jessie turned to the camera again. "Look over there!" she said as she pointed over the rail. "You can see for miles!" Jessie smiled at the camera. She gave a few more facts and closed the filming with "Tune in next week for more facts about Paris!" Jessie held her smile while the director shouted CUT! Then she relaxed. "Phew!" She said to herself. "I feel a tiny bit sick up here!" She laughed and headed down. About half way she spotted someone looking over the view. "Leon!" Jessie said happily and walked over to him. "Hi Jessie!" He said as he stood upright. She talked to him for a bit. As the crew came down she called to them. "I'll be down in a bit ok?" She turned back to Leon and smiled. "So what are you doing up here?" She asked him. "Oh... just seeing the sights, taking in the views." Jessie nodded. She asked him more questions. Then Leon looked over the side of the tower. The crew had just reached the bottom. "Come with me." He said mysteriously. He took Jessie's hand and led her up to the very top of the tower again. Then he spoke softly into something. He walked over to Jessie and put his hand on hers. His grip tightened. Jessie looked at him curiously. Then he pulled some tape out of his pocket and taped her hands together firmly. Jessie tried to scream but he slapped a piece over her mouth. "MMMMMM!" Jessie cried in alarm. Once Leon had her under control he laughed harshly. "Oh Mademoiselle Loveable!" He said still laughing. "You ae what we French call un imbécile! A FOOL!" Jessie tried to scream as Leon hauled her onto his back and absailed down the Eiffel tower. Then he fought the guards at the bottom and ran off to a warehouse.

Chapter 5 - Best Friends to the rescue and Chief Escapes
Beth was sat in her oreo palace, very bored, because she never got to hear any more stories from Jessie or Chief because, of course, the agency was closed down. She turned on her oreo TV and looked at the main channel. Perhaps she could catch the latest episode of Jessie's documentary. Nope, the news. Beth watched bored as a bear read out the main headlines. Rebel kicked out of BABV for unfair trading; New member wins trip to see Maxine; Weather, but then came a news story that make Beth jump from her throne. "Jessie Loveable kid-napped on Eiffel Tower. No more shows until she is recovered!" Beth blinked at the screen. She grabbed her phone and immediately started to call people, Evan, Arcee and Carly. "Hello? Did you hear about Jessie? We have to rescue her!" Was the message she passed around. She managed to build an army, her oreo army, Arcee, Evan and his Keyblade, and Carly. She then attempted to call Chief but the phone lines were down. She booked a flight to Paris the next day and they prepared for battle. Meanwhile Chief was also watching TV, but not the news. He heard a rustle in the plants outside. He walked over and looked out. Nothing. He heard a door swing open. He looked around quickly. Someone was in his house. Suddenly a woman of about 24 jumped onto him and held him down to the floor. "Get Off Me!" Chief shouted. He pushed his foot against her to stop her pinning him down. He pulled her hands away from his neck and kicked her off him. She pounched on his back, holding her arm round his neck as she tried to tie his arms together. Chief fell backwards and made her fall over. He leapt up and ran to one side. She leapt up too and ran towards him. He jumped up and grabbed the light. He swung over her and out the window. She followed him outside but he hid in a tree until she left. He was safe.... for now.

Chapter 6 - In the warehouse
In a cold dark warehouse, where water dripped slowly into a pool, and a single shaft of light illuminated through a tiny window, Jessie sat taped to an old plastic school chair and her mouth was still gagged. Her gaze followed her kid-napper's paces as he taunted her. "Your friends will never come for you. Nobody cares about you. Your own friend, Chief, closed down that goody two shoes of an agency and left you." Jessie sighed. "It's pitiful really. You have to rely on people to help you. I work best alone." He glanced at his wrist and laughed. "It's time for me to leave you." He walked over to Jessie and held her face in his hand. Then he ripped off the tape harshly. "AAA!" Jessie cried in pain. "Don't try and scream. Nobody can hear you." Leon turned abruptly on his heel. He walked out of the warehouse, leaving Jessie alone. Jessie looked up as her new-found enemy slammed the door. She sighed again and a single tear dripped down her face and onto her lap. She looked out of the window and watched as the blue sky turned to night. She was still alone by morning.

Chapter 7 - Chief 1 - Leon 0
A few hours after sun up, Leon arrived at the warehouse. He held a basket of croissants and a bottle of water. He strode over to Jessie and put the basket on a table. He then walked over to the door and locked it. Then he shut the window and untied Jessie's hands. He then gave her the basket of croissants and said quietly "Eat" Jessie obeyed for she was very hungry. When she had finished Leon allowed her to walk around the warehouse. He may be cruel but he wanted Jessie alive, and fit enough to walk if he had to relocate. After a few minutes Leon commanded Jessie to sit. She walked over and sat down. Leon smiled again. "You are being good today aren't you" Jessie nodded "Why?" Jessie sighed "There is no point running from someone who will easily catch me." Jessie said wisely. "Good!" Leon said. Then a buzz came from Leon's jacket, he spoke softly into it. "Hello? Davina! Hello... WHAT!" He shouted the last bit. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE ESCAPED!" he listened, his face was mad with rage. "I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN YOU DAVINA! I WOULD HAVE HOPED YOU WOULD BE A BIT MORE PROFESSIONAL THAN THIS!!" he listened again. "NO MORE CHANCES! YOU ARE FIRED!" He turned off the device. "Never trust others with jobs you must do." He said angrily. He turned to Jessie. "Well sweetheart, it appears your friend 'Chief' is smarter than i predicted, he managed to escape my ex- colleagues attempt to kidnap him. Perhaps he does care after all!" And with that Leon walked out and slammed the door, locking it behind him. Jessie leapt up and did a victory lap round the warehouse. "YES! He's ok! He's OK!"

Chapter 8 - Down with Davina
Beth, Arcee, Carly and Evan met up by the Seine so they could discuss how they would break in to the warehouse. Beth had managed to locate Jessie with her cell phone, she was in a warehouse, of some sort. And it was locked. Beth quickly explained her plan, then she ordered her army to wait a few meters away from the warehouse to provide back-up if needed. They sneaked over to the warehouse and looked for the window that they had spotted. Then as they were about to climb through it, Davina appeared out of nowhere. "Soo... You wanna spoil Leon's plans?" Evan growled. Arcee grabbed Evan and Carly stepped back. Beth threatened Davina. "Out of the way or we will move you!" Davina laughed cruelly, "Do you think I'm gonna let you just walk in? I have to prove myself to Leon, and this is perfect." Beth put her hand on her wand and tapped her fingers ever so lightly. Arcee spotted this and whispered into Evan's ear. Then Arcee released Evan, who turned into a wolf and chased Davina, Beth followed as Arcee and Carly crept in through the window. Davina knocked Evan off with her sword and left him unconcious. Beth pulled out her wand and fought with Davina like she was fencing. Beth Swirled her wand rond and Davina ran off, scared. Beth healed Evan with her magic oreo jar then they both climbed in after Arcee and Carly.

Chapter 9 - Could it be over?
Once in the warehouse, the heroes' eyes quickly adjusted to the dark. Evan pointed to a chair which a girl was sat on in the center or the room. "It's Jessie!" He said happily. "Carly jumped up with happiness, "Yay! That was easy." Suddenly the doors swung open and Leon walked in. "Whoa! Where did that goy come from!" Arcee said, amazed. Leon suddenly looked over at them. He frowned. He then turned to face them and started running. "RUN!" Evan, Beth Carly and Arcee all shouted. Leon leapt into the air and landed on the rail they were stood at. "So... you have come to take your precious Jessie? Well, that's not gonna happen!" He said as he pulled out a lasso. He quickly roped Evan down and caught Beth and Carly. Arcee looked around and then ran to the right, Leon threw the rope at her, she ducked and jumped out the way. She ran left and dived for safety behind some crates. Leon growled and walked over. "AAAA!" Arcee screamed as she ran away from Leon. "Get BACK HERE!" He yelled, irritated. "Nah nah na-nah nah!" Arcee mocked as she slowly started to grin. She stuck her tongue out and ran away again. This continued for another hour. Jessie watched as Leon chased Arcee back and forth and couldn't help but laugh. Then she gasped. Leon had caught Arcee in a net and he was walking over, panting, but looking pleased. "You thought... you could... outsmart me?" he said between breaths. Arcee looked up, frowning. "Why are you so mean!?" She yelled. "Why do you help people?" He said back. "I used to help people, but i never got thanked, never got appreciated. Now i despise do-gooders, because its pointless." He turned. "It was like a slap to the face, why should I help? I guess if i helped, i could help helpers stop helping and wasting their life." Arcee blinked. "Run that by me again" she said confused. "Ugh!" Leon picked Arcee up and up her next to Beth, Evan and Carly. Jessie sighed, she would never escape now, Leon had all her friends. Or did he?

Chapter 10 - The Final Showdown!
Leon stood in front of Jessie and laughed, "Now, NOBODY can save you!" Jessie looked at the floor, defeated. Leon taunted her and her friends. Jessie drifted away, in her mind, the only thing she could hear was her heart beat. She soared in her mind to above the warehouse and looked around. She then zoomed over the seas to Build a Bearville, and saw... The doors swung open. A figure emerged from the bright light. "Ha ha ha!" Laughed an oh so familiar voice. "CHIEF!" Jessie cried! "WHAT?!?" Leon yelled. "NOOOOOO!" Chief ran towards Leon and pulled out a sword. (why is it all the characters have old-fashioned weapons?) Leon pulled out a sword from his belt, yelled "En Guard" and Chief and him had the most gripping sword fight ever!. First Leon stabbed at Chief, who ducked out of the way, then Chief blocked a slash, then another stab, then 2 more slashes. Leon swung his sword at Chief's legs. Chiefy jumped and landed on the sword. Leon pulled his sword out from beneath him and made Chief fall to the floor. Jessie gasped. Chief continued to block as he crawled backwards on his back. He scrambled to his feet narrowly missing having his head cut off by Leon. Jessie stood up, her arms were still tied behind her back but the chair fell backward. Chief twirled his sword around and made Leon's go flying out of his hand. Leon kicked at Chief's hand and his sword flew out of his hand. Both men were un-armed and stood there a minute panting, and looking at each other. Then Leon pounced on Chief. Jessie screamed, so did Beth, and Carly. But Arcee wriggled in the net and said "Wow, What a fight this turned out to be!" Evan laughed. Chief kicked Leon who rolled over and Chief landed on him. "Huh?" Leon was confused. Where did this kid learn moves like that? Chief stood up and flipped Leon onto his front. Chief pulled Leon's arms behind his back and secured him. There was silence. "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Jessie cheered, jumping up and down happily. "GO CHIEFY!" Everyone cheered happily. Chief held Leon down with one hand, had his other on his hip and he looked around at Arcee, Evan, Jessie, Beth and Carly. He then leaned down to Leon and whispered, "Don't ever mess with the BABV SS again!" Leon groaned. "Now!" Chief said loudly. Everyone went quiet. "We need a way to teach this guy a lesson." He looked around. Then he pointed at Arcee. "Come here!" Arcee pointed at herself and said "Me?" Chief nodded. Arcee ran over to Chief, who whispered in her ear. He stood up and pulled Leon up too. He let go. Arcee slapped him on the face. "Owww!" Leon cried. "That was for being a jerk!" Arcee said laughing. "You gotta learn to help people!" Leon sighed. "Will you help me?" Arcee nodded and hugged him. "Ugh! Get off!" He said going red. Chief walked over to Jessie, untied her hands and hugged her. "You're Back!" She said crying with happiness. "You bet i am!" He said happily. Then he walked over to Leon. "Listen, pal, if you need somewhere to go, the BABV SS, which has just re-opened, is always welcoming talented people, we could do with a guy like you." Leon smiled. "Really?" Chief looked at Jessie. "You bet!" She said happily. "GROUP HUG!" Leon yelled. And everyone hugged him. Never had he felt so at home.

Epilogue
Back at home, Jessie swung around in her old chair. She sighed happily. Chief walked into her office and laughed. Jessie stood up and walked over. Then she swiped his hat from his head and put it on top of hers. "Hey!" Chief said as he chased her round the office. Jessie tripped up on the rug and fell over. Chief tripped up too and fell next to her. They both laughed. Jessie handed back the hat. "Listen, I wanted to apologise for being such a jerk, what with the closing of the agency, I guess i did have a teenage crisis." Jessie looked at him suspiciously. "Do you forgive me?" he said solemnly. Jessie hesitated. Then she jumped up and ran out the door. Before she left completely, she turned around and said. "Of course I do silly. Catch me if you can." Then she ran down the corridor, laughing. Chief stood up, dusted himself down, and ran after her.

I guess everything was back to normal after all.

I I bet something cool is going to happen. like a evil dude takes over, and chief is eating pop corn, and watching tV, and the tV tells him that a bad guy is takeing over, and beating up the iful tower, and he is like RAAWR, and beats him all up and then ya'll are talking ,and chief is like THAT WAS AWESOME!!! .... can I be in the story, maybe as the bad dude... no I don't like being evil. can I be a kitty cat... no a bull dog, that is cool noo as a person. yeah
