Epilogue
Julia has fallen ill, after being shot by a poison arrow, and it’s up to Evan and Chief to find a cure. Will they return in time to save her?
Chapter 1
A time to save
I rushed up to the doors of the Hospital with Julia in my arms; I came straight to the front desk, and was met by a Doctor.
“What’s happened to her?” he asked calmly
“Well she was hit by this poison dart, and she just passed out.” I said staring at Julia’s face
“Let’s see the arrow.” said the doctor
“Yeah sure anything to help her.” I said handing him the arrow
He examined it for a minute and then he looked up at me.
“What’s wrong?” I asked suspiciously I knew this wasn’t going to be good
“Well she appears to have been hit by a Columbian sleeping poison dart. It was used by Natives in the area to slowly kill a set target without pain.”
“Is there are cure?”
“Well yes, but because this poison is so rare, I know we don’t have the cure here, and come to think of it, I don’t know any hospital that has it, someone would have to go and get it from Columbia themselves.”
Just then Jessie and Chief walked in. Jessie came straight up to me and gave me a hug.
“How’s she holding up?” Jessie asked
“Well she’s going to die if I don’t go and get this antidote from Columbia…”
“I’ll go with you.” said chief stepping forward
“Chief, I couldn’t ask you to do that, she’s my girlfriend. I wouldn’t want to put you in any danger.” I replied to chief
“Well I’m going with you anyway incase you need help.” he replied
“We’ll need to leave right away. I just have to find out what the antidote looks like.”
The doctor came back from around the corner
“Julia is resting comfortably. Is there anyone else I should let visit her besides the two that are here now?” he asked
“Well there’s a group of people that will stop by, have the flash their FVDD badges.” I replied thinking about Julia
“Hey Evan, I’ll be here to watch her until the gang gets here.” said Ron who’d been sitting there quietly
“Thanks Ron, I owe you!” I replied
Chapter 2
Adventure
“OK this antidote, what is it?” I asked the Doctor.
“Well it’s the sap from a tree called the Gango tree in Columbia, it’s very rare, but supposedly there is a forest of them hidden somewhere down there.” the doctor replied
“Alright well then me and Chief will leave straight away, chief I’m gonna need to borrow the private jet.” I said walking toward the door.
Jessie walked back to Julia’s room, and sat with Grace and Zoe
“Oh and one thing doc, how long do you give me to return with the antidote?” I asked questionably
“She’s got about a week, so you better hurry!” he said urgently
“We’ll be back in a few days!” I said running out with chief right behind me.
We arrived at the airport, and boarded the plane headed for Columbia. I had stopped back by the house to get packed, but chief didn’t need to pack because he had a wardrobe on the plane.” I looked out the window wondering what would happen to Julia. I pulled out my phone, and dialed a number. The phone began ringing
“Hello?” said my mom from the other end of the phone.
“Hi mom it’s Evan, I’m not really having a good day.”
“I know I heard it’s all over the news, is Julia going to be ok? Me and your dad are on our way up there.”
“Mom I don’t think you need to…”
“It’s settled we’re coming, now how is she.” said my mom cutting me off
“Well she’s got a week after being hit by a poison arrow in the arm. It’s a rare Columbia poison.”
“We’ll be there shortly.”
“Alright mom, I have to go now.”
“Bye son, we love you.”
I hung up the phone, and clinched my fist… someone was going to pay for this. I tried to think of anyone that would try and do us in, but little did I know, this adventure was just getting started.
Chapter 3
Jungle Hunt
When Chief and I finally touched down in Columbia, in the city of Cali, the first thing I noticed was all of the girls looked a lot like Julia.
Chief itched his head. “Are they all supposed to look like Julia?”
“I don’t rightly know…” I said as three girls passed by me and Chief"
“Interesting…”I said as we walked towards the car that would be taking us to Eje Cafetero
The drive took a while, but we finally arrived. I got out and took in a deep breath. I knew we had to find the Gango sap soon. Julia only had a few days left. As me and chief chopped through some trees with the keyblade, we reach Eje Cafetero, It had been a long walk, because the car could only take us so far. I looked over the hilly area, and saw no huge forest full of these Gango trees.
"Han llegado buscando el árbol?" asked an old man with a walking stick
“Excuse me?” I asked as Chief began looking perplexed
“I said have you come seeking the tree?” He replied, his white hair blowing in the wind
“Well yes, but what can you do to help us?” Chief asked
“Well I’m the guardian on the trees, their sap can be used for many things, and if in the wrong hands it could be used for evil.” He said hobbling to a tree “Why do you seek the trees?”
“Well my girlfriend Julia was hit by a poison dart, and this is the only cure.”
He looked at me in horror. “What kind of poison?”
“I don’t know the Doctor didn’t say. Why?”
“Because if this is the only cure, we must get moving!” he replied putting his hand on the tree
The tree untwisted itself turning into an Arch. As we walked through, I saw huge rows of the Gango trees. I ran up to one, and used a knife to cut into the tree.
“No, you must do it like this.” Said the old man cutting a small hole in the tree
“Oh I see!” I replied as the sap filled the vile
Chief looked around, and found that this field seemed to go on forever.
“Where exactly are we?” Chief asked
“We are in the place where nobody can find.” He replied
“I see…” Chief responded
Chapter 4
Brawl
“You must put this sap in a syringe and inject it into the blood stream.” He said to me
“I will.”
“Good now you must get this back safely, and DON’T open it until you get home!”
“I won’t. Thanks so much for yourself, how can I repay you?” I asked
“Payment is not necessary.” He said smiling
“Alright if you insist.” I replied
Me and Chief began running towards the arch, and got out into the jungle again, and beat feet across the grounds to the car. Just then an arrow shot out from behind Chief knocking his hat off.
“Chief Look out!” I said hurling the keyblade the shooter
It knocked the shooter into the river, and the key came back.
“Anyone who’d like to be next!” I said angrily
Just then 10 men stood up armed with Machetes
“I don’t think you should have asked.” said Chief standing right behind me
Just then a huge battle ensued I shot light blast from my keyblade injuring one, and knocking him into another. Chief landed three roundhouse kicks to one, and tackled another. I turned into a Wolf, and began chasing three, who dropped their machetes and hid in the tree. I then saw that one of them had chief off the ground preparing to throw him. I morphed back human and shot blizzaga at the thug, which turned him into a block of ice.”
“Come on chief, it’s getting dark, we’re running out of time hurry to the plane!”
Chapter 5
Back at the ER
My parents Grace, Zoe, Jessie, Zed, and Kieran all sat in the hospital room. Julia’s heart beat monitor the only sound in the room. Jessie stood over Julia looking at her, she looked calm and content. The doctor came in to check on her, and then left. Jessie thought to herself where is Evan and Chief.
The door flew Open, and In walked me and Chief. Jessie turned and smiled big and everyone jumped up. Jessie and Zoe went to get the doctor. He came in, and injected it into her arm. Everything seemed fine until a loud Beep was heard. It was the heart monitor it had gone flat line. They rushed in the crash cart, and attempted to bring her back to life. It wasn’t working, was finding this antidote in vain? Would this be the end of Julia? Thinking about all of this made me start to cry, I took hold of Julia’s hand, and knelt beside her bed. Jessie came to put her hand on my shoulder. The whole room was silent. Just as everyone had begun to cry, a beep beep beep sound returned. I looked up to see Julia with her eyes open staring at me.
“What’s everyone crying about?” she asked sleepily
“You died!” I replied leaping to my feet.
Everyone gathered around the bed.
“I did? Hmm I guess I didn’t notice.” She said with a giggle, which made her cough.
I put my hand on her head, and laid her back down.
“You need to rest.” I said
“Yeah I think I should.” She replied with a smile.
Someone out in the hall was yelling, Jessie peeked her head out of the door.
“Uh oh!” she said swing her head back in. “Hey Evan, I think we found our poison dart man.”
I stood up from the bed, Kissed Julia on the cheek, and began for the door. I could feel the rage cooking inside.
“She can’t have any visitors!” said the nurse trying to stop him from walking past her
“HEY! FVDD put your hands where I can see them!” I shouted
He turned and ran out the door.
“Jessie, Zed Cut him off around back, Zoe with me, Grace, stand guard at the door, and Kieran make sure nothing gets in that window.” I said running out the doors. I chased after him until he rounded the corner, and I heard a loud THUNK. Zoe had followed Jessie, and Zed, and knocked him in the knees with the bat.
Chapter 6
Answers/Meeting again
“Who are you and what do you want?” I said poking the keyblade into his back
He said Nothing
“Jessie, prepare to break his arm if he doesn’t speak.” I said to Jessie who was already cracking her knuckles
“Alright alright I’ll speak but not because I’m scared of her!” he hissed at Jessie
Jessie kicked him in the leg, and he fell to the ground again.
“Scared now!” she said getting in his face
He didn’t answer
“Who are you!” I demanded again
“My name is Gulliver, and I was trying to cripple FVDD.”
“Well it appears you failed, sir!” said Zed
He had nothing more to say, so I had Chief hand-cuff him, and take him to the big house.
I walked back inside, to see that Zoe had already called Ron, and a lot of the other residence of FV to tell them she was going to make it. Later that night, I walked into her room, as visiting hours were almost over, I saw my mom waiting outside, I gave her a hug and thanked her for coming. She waved to Julia who waved back. I came into her room to notice that it was full of flowers and balloons.
“Whoa! Looks like you have a lot of people that care about you little lady.” I said sitting on the edge of her bed.
“Seems like I do.” She replied smiling “But I got one more important that nobody else has.”
“And who’s that?”
“You.” She replied putting her hand on mine
--A week later—
I drove up to the hospital, it was time for Julia to get out. She was all betters, and was ready to set sail. I walked in the grass half way, when I noticed her running towards me from the hospital. She jumped into my arms, and we spun around in the grass. It was so good to see her again.
“It’s been very boring without you around.” I said
“Oh really, I’m sure you found something to pass the time.” She said
“Actually I did.”
“And what did you do?”
“Thought about you.” I replied hugging her as he walked.
She giggled, and got into the car. We were setting sail, and going into the great unknown
“I think I know what we’ll name the ship.”
“Mmmm?” she asked
“We’re naming it Phoenix.” I said smiling
